Explain the model, cite the evidence, state the limits and correct material errors visibly. Content exists to help a reader understand and question a Coast FIRE projection.
Who publishes the site
Coast FIRE Calculator is the organizational publisher. We do not list invented experts or imply professional licenses we cannot document. Pages identify the publisher, review date and relevant methodology or source record.
What we publish
The site provides calculators, modeled comparisons and educational explanations for Coast FIRE planning. It does not provide individualized investment, tax, legal or insurance advice.
How claims are researched
We prefer official government sources for rules and statistics, original research for withdrawal-rate history, and clearly identified institutional research for fee or market context. Sources are linked and their use is described.
How calculators are reviewed
Formula changes are checked against documented equations, boundary cases and automated tests where they add meaningful coverage. Visible examples should be generated from the same calculation code used by the calculator.
How automation may be used
Software and automated tools may assist with drafting, calculation checks, formatting and code review. Before publication, claims must be checked against the cited source or implementation; automation is not presented as an expert author.
How updates work
Pages show a review or update date when it helps readers judge freshness. Tax limits, benefit rules and marketplace costs require more frequent checking than compound-growth formulas.
Corrections and reader feedback
Report a formula issue, outdated rule or unsupported claim through Contact and feedback. Include the page, the statement or result, rounded inputs when relevant, and the source or expected result. Material calculator changes are recorded in the public changelog; small spelling and formatting fixes may be made without a release note.
Commercial independence
Calculator results and default assumptions are not changed in exchange for product placement. If sponsorships, advertising or affiliate relationships are introduced, the relevant relationship should be disclosed where a reader encounters it.
